As of right now the only titles we have pegged to make an appearance during Microsoft’s press conference — as opposed to appearing on the show floor — are Gears of War 3 , Forza 4 , and a new Star Wars title developed specifically for Kinect. Nearly the entire game is on-rails, with player-controlled progress limited to traveling via horse and carriage. Movement of Seren is controlled by grabbing onto the reins. Once holding on, jerking both hands up in a cracking motion makes the horse go faster, while pulling your hands up towards your body stops her. To move left or right, you pull the hand of the intended direction towards you while extending the opposite arm. Intensity is based on how fast and dramatic the gestures are. Instead of simply darting to the next area, however, players must pay attention to not run into obstacles while scoping out any side-areas, where treasure chests or revealing NPCs can be found.

On the hardware and software side of things, rumors have been suggesting that Microsoft might finally unveil Project Opara. According to early details, Opara would be Microsoft’s answer to something like Hulu Plus or iTunes, offering subscription-based television shows for Xbox Live, Windows PCs, and Windows Phones. Since this particular conference will be in direct competition with Steve Jobs’ keynote at WWDC , it would make sense that something a little Apple-esque might be shown
But it is also not unheard of for Microsoft to pull a real surprise out of nowhere during their press conference (they did so last year with the new Xbox 360 redesign ), so don’t be shocked if it happens once again. In the last scene of the trailer, two other dinosaurs can be spotted. Vin Diesel delivers his “Lights Out” line and then it cuts to him and the child walking in the open again, this time alone. Right in front of them there are three winged dinosaurs that then take flight. This implies that they are non-hostile, and though they look similar to the first game’s Pterosaurs, there’s a distinctive butterfly like pattern on their wings that sets them apart. The most iconic dinosaur of all , it should come as no surprise that the T-Rex is making its return and had a big spotlight in the trailer. Called just “Rex” in the first game, the T-Rex in the trailer looks to be slightly larger and equally as clumsy. It also features some stylish furs on its neck and along its spine, perhaps in an effort to create a more realistic representation of the beast. With Nintendo forgoing a traditional press conference yet again, the extent of the Big N’s presence at E3 is a bit of an unknown factor. However, we do know that Nintendo plans on hosting a Nintendo Direct presentation like it did last year, and this time it will be headlined by Super Mario Odyssey , the biggest Nintendo Switch exclusive game on the horizon.
