Since building is currently disabled in Fortnite , there are now new versatility options around the maps like zip lines and trampolines to help players get around. Building will return to the game within the next week so it will be interesting to see how these maps changes really come into play. There have been a wide array of transportation methods throughout the different seasons and chapters, from everything from planes to quad-crashers, boats, and semi-trucks. The options players are given in Fortnite Chapter 3 __ allow for water and land travel . Gaining any amount of airtime will be easiest done on land unless players wish to drive a boat off the edge of a cliff. Airtime is any amount of time when the vehicle is not touching the ground. Players can gain this airtime by performing stunts, or in an easier way, driving a car off the edge of a mountain. With Fortnite feeling as new as ever , Chapter 3’s island manages to feel brand new despite having a good amount of areas and assets from Chapters 1 and 2. The map features four biomes, each with their own unique areas and NPC’s to discover. The desert biome feels a lot like the original desert area from Chapter 1, but rockier and canyon-like. Two brand new locations, Chonker’s Speedway and Condo Canyon, are some areas the player can land at this biome. The snowy tundra biome takes more than half of the map and has a tease that is exciting to many Fortnite veterans. Iconic landing spot, Tilted Towers, seems to freeze under the snow and will most likely thaw out as the season goes by. Chapter 1 locations Greasy Grove and Shifty Shafts have made a return this season as well. The rest of the landing spots are brand new locations such as Sleepy Sound and Camp Cuddle. Players can use the keycard to open the vault within Covert Cavern, located on the bottommost floor. The location has several regular chest spawns and four safes, great for stacking up on gold bars. Covert Cavern also offers players large ammo boxes alongside four IO chests, so this new POI will for sure be a hot drop following the update as there is a lot of fantastic loot for players to grab. There is always a chance for multiple players to get max shield due to more than ten Fortnite shield keg locations dotted around the POI, making it a great spot for squads to consider landing in to get full shield right off the
