RISK: Starcraft Collector’s Edition Board Game is a uniquely Blizzard take on the classic strategy game. Just like in the video game, players must choose between the Terrans, Protoss or Zerg and then head into battle in an attempt to gain control of the Koprulu Sector. While base-building in Starcraft the video game can get complicated at times, this board game follows traditional RISK rules, meaning anyone ages 10 and up can jump right in. The Starcraft theme touches every part of this game, including the highly-detailed custom playing pie
First things first: The CW’s attempts at launching characters, subplots, or larger universe-changing factors like superpowers or magic have not always gone off smoothly, often sapping momentum from individual episodes or existing storylines. Thankfully, the decision to introduce Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) – who will soon take the role of ‘big bad’ for Legends of Tomorrow – in The Flash actually shows the kind of elegant cross-universe storytelling fans have come to hope
On one hand, being able to explain the finicky mythology of Hawkgirl and Hawkman in a single scene is an impressive feat. And thanks to Hentschel’s matter-of-fact delivery, viewers will either be on board with the story of reincarnation and endless battle or not. But the consequences of leveraging so much of the episode’s story on new characters is apparent once the credits roll: the presence of Green Arrow is almost an afterthought. There’s a cocktail party scene and some exposition offered by Ra’s al Ghul, but with the crossover setting up such monumental action and mythology, its own importance pales in compari
This past week at DreamHack in Bucharest, Romania, a number of tournament organizers for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive reportedly met to come up with a response to rumors of an upcoming CS:GO super league, and the ongoing discussion is causing some drama within the game’s commun
On paper, the plan is being executed to perfection. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) uses his new superpower to sense big things in his new girlfriend’s future, those big things get even bigger when a magical villain comes to town, establishing himself as too much for masked vigilantes, and chasing the now-fully-revealed Hawkgirl off into their own series . It’s a thing of shared universe beauty if it can be pulled off, and Crump is up to the task of playing an immortal villain. Unfortunately and, perhaps fittingly, it’s the velocity that becomes the prob
“Time is money, friend.” You’ve played Monopoly before but never like this. Monopoly: World of Warcraft Collector’s Edition features a custom MOBA game beginner guide board designed by Blizzard, and all of your favorite zones from Azeroth are here for the taking. Faction capitals Stormwind and Orgrimmar take the traditional spots of Boardwalk and Park Place, and the player tokens were voted on by fans. Try to stay out of jail as you move around the board as the Corehound Pup, Murky, Doomhammer, Hearthstone, Mechagnome, or Flight Path B
At any given point, half the players are losing and more than half are criticizing their team. Frustrations have reached a point, where just the sight of certain champions (whether on your team or the enemy team) is enough to send players into a rage spiral. Is it a self-fulfilling prophecy? Does the belief that you always do poorly against a certain champion ensure that you play poorly, since you’ve already resigned yourself to loss? Does the belief that certain champions (especially when challenging the meta by being in a different role) are useless to your team ensure that you won’t encourage that player or help them? The answer may be intangible and a complex combination, but in any case, here are the fifteen most hated League charact
Seeing the cast of Arrow break out of their angsty brooding is always welcome (if, quite frankly, out of character considering the plot they’re pulled directly out of). But as entertaining as the laughs or novel moments may be, they’re fleeting. Fans are outright told to expect fireworks with a crossover, and while “Legends of Today” serves a larger purpose than the previous crossovers, we doubt fans were hoping the biggest payoff of seeing their heroes unite would be comedic rel
Alright, I’ve let that out of my system, I’m sorry, but just seeing his name sets me off. In fact, I hate him so much that I wanted to put him at fifteen to not give him the satisfaction of being number one. How can one character warrant so much hate? It is actually all in his design. Teemo’s kit is made specifically to frustrate the other team and not contribute to his own. He doesn’t synergize well with any other champions, he can’t peel, he’s not designed to tank, and he doesn’t spit out as much damage as other marksmen or mages can. Instead, he just contributes to frustrating deaths. The wasted flashes and dying to his poison, the dying to a mushroom he planted in your jungle five minutes earlier, and the dying while swinging and hitting nothing because he blinded you. These types of frustrations weigh on the enemy players and usually have them lashing out at their own team, which crumbles their ability to play together. This character is powered by how much we hate
